Shirley Thompson

July 24, 1933 - June 22, 2019
Today we lost an amazing lady. Classey, generous, full of life, and love of family and friends.
Shirley was born in Calgary to the late Justine & Arthur Dares. When the family moved to Mission Shirley met Ernie Thompson and they married in 1952. In 1961 they moved to Chilliwack and built the Thompson Toyota dealership on Yale Rd. Shirley was the bookkeeper for their business and after Ernie retired she continued to do the books for son Tom's business at Tom Thompson auto glass. Shirley loved fashion, home decor, gardening and trips away in the motor home.
She loved to be surrounded by family and friends, her gentle spirit and guiding hand will be most missed by those that loved her.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Ernie who passed in 2017. Shirley is survived by daughter Laurie (Al), son Tom (Noreen), 3 granddaughters, Bre-Ann, Kimberly & Krystal, Grandson Justin Three great grandchildren Mya, Ryder & Benjamin.
The family sends Cascade Lodge the greatest and warmest gratitude for their exceptional care.
A celebration of Shirley's life will be held Sunday July 21. (2-4) pm at SureStay in Chilliwack (Best Western)
