Sheila Mary Chouinard passed away peacefully at the Oak Bay Kiwanis Pavilion in Victoria on Jan. 31, 2007. She was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan on Feb. 18, 1955.
She is survived by mother Lilace in Chilliwack, sisters Barbara (James Knights) in Victoria, Jocelyn in Montreal, Que., and Nancy (Lew Potts) in Delta, and brother Michael (Karen Heiber) in Toronto, Ont.
She was predeceased by father Clarence in 1981 and sister Catherine in 1974. Sheila loved swimming, dancing, animals, bowling, mushy movies and handsome waiters.
She will be remembered as someone who was warm, funny and instantly made people happy.
There will be a memorial service Friday, March 9, 2007, 1 p.m., at Henderson’s Funeral Home in Chilliwack, followed by a private service.
The family is asking people to make donations to the B.C. Special Olympics in lieu of flowers.
