Shayne Darryl
January 7, 1964 - March 8, 2012
It is with great sorrow to announce the sudden unexpected passing of Shayne Darryl Bergen at the age of 48. He was born January 7th, 1964 in Merritt B.C. Shayne was born with cerebral palsy and through the many dedicated hours of family and volunteers with physical therapy and massage he was able to walk by the age of 7. Shayne was very special to many people, he loved to talk about his favourite old tv shows and his icons Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson. Some of his best loved pass times were karaoke and making home movies and he was a whiz on the computer. Church was also an important part of his life.
Shayne is predeceased by his father Ronald Bergen and left to mourn are his mother Sharon Bergen, Sisters, Carolyn (Norm) Sperling, Shawna Bergen & Aaryn Bergen. Nephews & Nieces, Jerod (Lauren) Sperling, Jeffrey (Lisa) Sperling, Jennifer Sperling (Ted Gordon) and Colton (Robyn) Bradford. Also His Great Nieces & Nephews, Grandmother, Katherine Bergen, and many Aunts, Uncles & Cousins.
Thank you to Shayne’s Church Family for the spiritual support he received over the years. Thank you to all who have sent us their condolences and prayers.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Shayne on March 30, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Central Community Church on Chilliwack Central Road. In lui of flowers donations would be greatly appreciated to the Central Community Church Benevolent Fund in Shayne’s name.
