Sharon Anne Penner passed away in her sleep on April 12, 2016 after a brave and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 70. Born June 4, 1945 to Alexia Irene Smith (nee Carefoot) and Robert James Smith of Gladstone, Manitoba. Sharon was the youngest of 4 children. She was predeceased by older sister Ruth Repchinsky of Edmonton, AB; and Brother Jim Smith of Winnipeg, MB. She is survived by her sister, Doris Belfry of Vernon, BC; sons, Kristopher and Keven (Cindy); grandsons, Kiefer and Brennan; and many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all the family and many dedicated and loyal friends. Sharon attended school in Gladstone and moved to Winnipeg for employment when she was 18. She married and moved to British Columbia and became well known in the area for her delicious cooking, especially her chocolate chip cookies. A dedicated mother and mua mua, she loved her boys unconditionally. Heaven now has a beautiful, caring, margarita loving soul, may they not forget the salt!

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
