It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sharon in the early hours of Saturday, February 24, 2018.
Sharon lived all of her 47 years in Chilliwack. She attended school, got married and had a family in her home town. Despite a life long struggle with mental illness, Sharon always tried to give a friendly hello with a smile on her face. Her kind, gentle side, although often masked by her illness was always shown by her love for animals and her compassion for those less fortunate.
Sharon leaves behind her husband of 22 years Ken, and daughters Rebecca and Alicia. She will be missed by her brothers Jeff (Sherri), Terry (Robyn), and Wes (Debbie). Sharon was predeceased by her mother Valerie Froese, stepfather Frank Froese, father Ken Shields and brother Philip Shields.
The family would like to thank the gallant efforts by paramedics, the compassion shown at CGH, and all the years of dedicated support shown by Shirley and all the wonderful staff at The Salvation Army.

A celebration of Sharon's life will held at Henderson's Funeral Home on Saturday, March 10 at 2:00 pm.
