Bergen; Sharon Louise (nee Lawnen)
Sharon passed away on December 13, 2013 at Chilliwack, BC at the age of 69 years. Sharon lived in Chilliwack for over 30 years. She worked at CFB Chilliwack in the kitchen, at Stream and at Vedder McDonalds. Sharon loved to help people with their computers and taxes. She was a voracious reader until suddenly, a series of strokes and dementia claimed her quality of life. She was a resident of the Bradley Centre for the past 2 years. Sharon leaves to mourn, her children Carolyn (Norm) Sperling and Shawna Bergen, her grandchildren Jerod (Lauren) Sperling, Jeff (Lisa) Sperling, Jen (Ted Gordon) Sperling and Colton (Robyn) Bradford, 7 great grandchildren, twin sisters Betty Nicholl (Hayward) and Jeanne (Cecil) Couldwell, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and mother-in-law Kate Bergen, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Sharon is predeceased by her brother Lawrence Lawnen in 1948, mother Jane Lawnen (nee Miller) in 1957, father Lawrence Lawnen in 1962 and son Shayne Bergen in 2012. By Sharon's wishes no service will be held. Thanks to the staff of the Bradley Centre, Dr. Hopkins and Woodlawn for their compassion and caring.
