After a short struggle with cancer, Selma Goerzen passed away peacefully at Chilliwack General Hospital, at the age of 69. Selma was born on August 10, 1941 in Paraguay, then came to Canada with her family in 1952.
Selma will be sadly missed by all her friends and family. She is survived by her brothers Corny Regehr (Lee), George Regehr (Pat) and John Regehr; daughter Linda Blenkarn (Graeme); stepdaughters Mary Pruim (Albert) and Elfrieda Goerzen; and stepsons Art Goerzen (Teresa) and Erv Goerzen (Jocelyn).
A private family service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 30th. An open house will follow at her daughter’s home from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
