September 8, 2023, Sara Lynn Merritt, 82, of Chilliwack, BC passed away with her beloved husband Vince at her side.
She married Vince on December 16, 1961. Together, they travelled for 18 years with the Canadian Armed Forces while raising three children. Returning to Chilliwack in 1975, Sara Lynn worked at Fraser Valley College for over 20 years until she retired to further enjoy her hobbies.
She loved gardening, travelling, sewing crafts, playing games and of course, being the boss.
Sara Lynn is survived by her loving husband Vince, her children Tim, Tammy (Brian), Tom (Nicole), five grandchildren (Jim, Thane, Easton, Hailey and Reilly). She will be greatly missed by all.
Memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, September 27th at the Royal Canadian Legion, 5661 Vedder Road, Chilliwack. Casual attire is fine.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Chilliwack Hospice Society.
