It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sandra Lee Straube. Sandra was born June 1st, 1946 in Edmonton, Alberta to George and Merle Scott and left this world on Feb. 16, 2013 at Chilliwack General Hospital following a short illness. Sandra married in Grande Prairie, Alberta in 1964. Sandra and family moved to Chilliwack in 1969 where she continued to live until moving to Yellowknife in 1985. In 1987 Sandra returned to Chilliwack to become the best Grandma to her grandson Chad. Sandra loved her friends and family with all her heart and was also a longtime friend of Bill W. Sandra leaves to mourn, her daughter LeeAnn [Scott] White, grandson Chad [Charmaine] White, great-grandson Fraser, sister Carol [Ed] Magilton of Edmonton, and sister Doreen Taylor and her children Kimberly, Jodi, and Cameron of Edmonton. As well, Sandra leaves niece Shaylene [John] Saxton and their children Benjamin, Samuel, and Sophie, nephew James [Nicole] Magilton and their son Colin, all of Edmonton, Alberta. Predeceased by her parents George and Merle Scott and Tony Straube. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, February 22 at 1:30 pm at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave. Chilliwack. Donations can be made to the BCSPCA.
