Samuel Gert Jan Meyer

Samuel Gert Jan Meyer, age 80, of Chilliwack, BC sadly passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 26, 2020. Sam was born June 1, 1940 in The Hague, Netherlands.
Samuel is survived by his wife, Patricia; five children, Kim, Ken, Dan, Tony and Sarah as well as his 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. His two sisters Jean Engelsman and Sue Mikoula will also miss him greatly.
Sam lived in The Hague in the Netherlands until he and his family immigrated to Canada on October 16, 1957 where they settled in Picture Butte, AB. Sam spent 50 years in the moving business and spent 27 of those years as the owner of Morrows Moving & Storage from 1991-2018.
He was also a loyal member of the Lions Club spending 40 plus years attending multiple clubs.
am retired from the moving business in 2018 at the age of 78 and spent the remainder of his life enjoying time with his close family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service on November 6, 2020 which because of Covid is by Invitation Only.
