Ruth Janis Hilts
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mum on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the age of 83 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years Ed (Edgar) Hilts. Ruth was born on December 15, 1932, in Vancouver to parents Harold and Marjorie Osbourn.
She is survived by her children Dennis (Karen) Hilts, Dean (Marie) Hilts, Dawn (Len) Tonn, and Deanna (Randy) Knudsen. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Morgan (Moriah), Mathew (Crystal), Clayton (Brittini), Christopher, Stephen (Erica), Jennifer (Jordan), Kevin and Julia as well as six great-grandchildren; James, Lily, Logan, Jayda, Markus and Jasper.
Ruth had a life long passion for sewing, crafting and painting which she generously made for family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home with Brenda Janzen officiating.
