Ruth passed away in Chilliwack Hospital at age 93.
She is survived by sister Gerry, son Alan (Isabel) and daughter Anita (Tim).
Predeceased by husbands Robert Hansen 1981 and Charlie Kirk 2003, and 4 siblings.
Ruth was a loving mother and also a very independent person. She never lost her spirit even in difficult times.
She taught elementary school in Surrey for 35 years, and retired in Langley.
Thank you to Dr. Rosemarie Cambridge, the doctors and nurses at Chilliwack Hospital, and the wonderful staff at Waverly Seniors Village.
A memorial will be in Vancouver on December 2 at Mountain View Cemetery.
