It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Russell James Sabraw on Sunday, June 20, 2021.
Russ is survived by his children Andrea Sabraw (Ben), Tyrel Sabraw (Becky), Grant Sabraw, his former wife Rhonda Brown, his parents Jim and Vivian Sabraw, his sister Karen Kirkby (Cam) as well as his nieces and nephew Jill (Shay), Tracey (Sam), Brandon (Nikki), sister-in-law Lisa Ballam, his brother-in-law, Carl Brown and mother-in-law, Elaine Brown.
Russ was born in Saskatoon, Sask. His family moved to BC in 1969. Russ met Rhonda in high school and they married in 1988. In the years to come they welcomed Andrea, Tyrel and Grant.
Russ and Rhonda built a beautiful home together in Ryder Lake where they started to raise their 3 kids along with dogs, cats, rabbits and chickens.
Russ was an animal lover from very early on. He had several dogs and cats growing up but his most cherished companion was "Jake!" Jake was a beautiful German Shepherd who was always by Russ's side.
Russ loved the outdoors and loved to tinker in his shop. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, intelligence and big heart.
