(Aug. 9, 1913 - June 2, 2008)

Rufus Howard Nutt, resident of Courtenay, BC, passed away peacefully in his 94th year, on Monday, June 2, 2008 at St. Josephs Hospital in Comox, BC.

Born in Gyana, South America where he grew up. In the English army in the Second World War from 1939 - 1945, and the Korean War from 1951 - 1953. He was a veteran of both wars.

He lived in Chilliwack (CFB) for 15 years, Montreal, Quebec for 17 years, back in BC for the duration of his life.

Predeceased by his two children Joy and Kori.

He will be sadly missed by his wonderful wife of 64 years Julie Nutt; his seven remaining children: Trish, Michael, Paul, George, David, Jane, Rodney, daughters and sons-in-law. His 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and all his friends.

Service to be held at ‘Royal Canadian Legion’ lounge at 9350 Mary Street, Chilliwack, BC at 2:00 pm on Saturday June 7, 2008.
