Rudy Davelaar

With great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Father and Opa, Rudy Davelaar.
After celebrating his 85th birthday on December 5, 2022, Rudy passed peacefully on December 15, 2022.
Rudy was born in Garderen, Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1952.
Rudy was married to the love of his life, Sharron, for 57yrs until her passing in 2018.
Rudy was a mechanic and volunteer firefighter for many years until he joined the District of Chilliwack as one of its original full time members. He retired as an Assistant Fire Chief.
Rudy is survived by his son David (Kim), daughter Darlene, grandchildren Allison and Victoria, and his brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 26, 2023, from 1-5 pm at the Chilliwack Curling Club banquet room.
