Rubina May (Ruby) WELLS (nee Robson)

February 16, 2003

Rubina (Ruby) May Wells (nee Robson) went to her heavenly home February 16, 2003 in her 83rd year. She was born and raised in Jansen, Sask. on the family farm. After her schooling she worked in Saskatoon as a personal maid and later as a seamstress in a tailor shop.

After moving to Chilliwack she worked as a cook in a logging camp at Harrison lake. There she met her husband Bert and married in 1942. They had two children.

Ruby loved the outdoors, picnicking with her friends and motorhome travel and camping.

As a member of the Salvation Army she was very active taking leadership roles and serving in practical ways often visiting the elderly. She was good friend to all.

“Grandma” was dearly loved by her children and grandchildren serving them in any way she could. And, praying for them daily.

She was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Cathrine Robson; her sister Delle; and her loving husband Bert.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Ellen (Wes) McNair, and Verne (Gail) Wells. By her grandchildren, Chad McNair, Rayanne Wells, Wade (Felicia) McNair and great-granddaughter Jordan, Tracy (Chad) Nickel, and Shawn Wells. By her brother Warren (Elsie) Robson. By brother/sister-in-laws; an aunt, cousins, many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army Community Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
