Roy Wheeler, late of Chilliwack, BC, passed away on April 28th 2007 in Chilliwack, age 72. Roy was born on December 31st 1936 in Vancouver.
He had lived in this area for 12 years. Roy worked as a Splicer for BC Tel for 20 years. He spent three years with the Royal Canadian Air Force, 20 years with the Royal Canadian Signal Corp. and 37 years as a Legion Member.
He was an avid golfer and fisherman, and each fall Roy went north to hunt for pine mushrooms.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Bernice, children; Catherine (Gary) Cathcart, Keneth (Karen E.) Wheeler, six grandchildren; Robert, Christopher, Caitlin Cathcart, Leon & Ben Wheeler, Jamie Sarah Wheeler, and brothers and sisters. Roy was predeceased by his father George Wheeler, mother Lillian Scambler Wheeler.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 3, 2007 at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home at 2:00 pm.
