Roy Siver passed away on Friday, February 15, 2015 at the Chilliwack General Hospital, at age 86 years. He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Roy will be remembered by his children Mike, Wendy and Judy, grandchildren Billie, Jenn, and Kris, one great-granddaughter Keara, and his brother George Siver. He was predeceased by his wife Marion. Roy will be missed by his family, friends, and students as he was a dedicated teacher in BC for 30 years. He loved golf, cricket, reading, and doing puzzles. He was on the UBC Olympic Gymnastics team until he enlisted in the Medical Corp. of the Second World War. He was present at Normandy on D-Day. Then two Siver brothers met two Doubleday sisters and were wed in a double ceremony. Roy and Marion were married for 54 happy years.
