Roy Richard CREBER

Roy Richard Creber passed away on 4th June 2006 at Willow Manor Care Centre in Maple Ridge, BC at the age of 90 years.

Roy was predeceased by his brother Harold and stepdaughter Linda (Emil Banziger).

He will be remembered by Velda his loving wife of 55 years, his daughters Normajean Novak (Long Beach, California), Cherry Hooper (Bert) of Maple Ridge, BC and his brother Eric (Audrey) of Chilliwack.

Grandchildren, Kerry, Ryan, David, Alea, Janalee and great grand-children Lucas and Kennedy.

Roy was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 62 years following war service in England, France, and Belgium as a Radar Technician. He was also a life member of the Old Age Pensioners Association, Sardis, BC, and the BC Gov. Retired Employees Association.

Before his retirement in 1978 he worked for the city of Chilliwack as the City Assessor, and the BC Assessment Authority as Deputy Assessor.

Roy enjoyed working with his hands and was a skilled woodworker always ready to help Velda in any craft project. He also loved to travel.

A service will be held on Wednesday 14th June 2006 at 2:00 pm at St. John the Divine Anglican Church. 21299 River Road (at Laity Street) Maple Ridge, BC with the Rev. Charles Balfour officiating.

Internment will follow at a later date at Chilliwack Cemetery with family members attending.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Diabetes Association of BC, or Cancer Research.
