Born in Wilcox, Sask., Roy came to B.C. as a young man and settled in Wilson Creek, B.C.
Roy logged for over 30 years on the Sunshine Coast. He and his wife Lenore moved to Chilliwack two years ago to be closer to their daughters. His hobbies were woodworking and playing horseshoes. Most of all he loved his music, playing his button accordian and his guitar.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 60 years, Lenore; his daughters, Jo-Ann (Gordon) Armstrong, Royleen (David) Christensen, and Cindy (Clifford) McKay; his grandchildren, Amber, Tony, Crystal and Cori-Anne; and his great-grandchildren, KaCee and Roy; his sisters, Gunny, Lily, Doris; and his brother Evert.
A memorial will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006.
