Rosereen Penner, affectionately known to her many friends as “Rosie’’, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on September 24, 2004.
She was born in Herbert, Sask. on April 2, 1926, where she was raised in a lifestyle she thoroughly enjoyed - the farm.
With her family, she moved from Didsbury, Alta. to Chilliwack in 1966, where she dedicated her life to raising her children with life values she had learned and lived.
She is survived by two sisters, Laura (Ed) Defehr, and Olga (Hildor) Janz; and by one brother Victor (Agatha).
She is predeceased by an older brother who died shortly after birth, and a younger brother Lee (Sara).
She is also survived by five children, son Garry (Norene) and their children, daughter Carla (Mark) and their daughters, Abigail and Sarah; son Craig (Michelle) and their sons, Seth and Cole; son Jim (Linda) and their two sons, Jason (fiancee Yvette) and Jared (Sarah); daughter Lorna (Tom) and their two children, stacy and BJ (fiance Emily); son Dale (Ruth) and their three children, Stephanie, Justin and Colin; daughter Brenda (Doug) and their two sons, Ronnie and Stephen, and Doug’s daughter Laurie (Chris).
Viewing will be held September 30, 2004 from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Henderson’s.
A memorial service in honour of Rosereen Penner will be held at Chilliwack Alliance Church on October 1, 2004 at 1:30 p.m.
