It is with sadness that we advise of the passing of
Rosalie Cecilia Noel King–ston, in Chilliwack, on Friday, September 21, 2012.
Noel is lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 63 years, Louis Daniel (Danny) Kingston, with sons: Gerald (Trudy) and Drew (Lynn); and grandchildren: Jeremy Kingston, Jocelyn (Daryl) Thomas, Tamara (Devin) O‘Brien and Jared Kingston; and great-grandchildren: Anika and Nolan Thomas. Noel was predeceased by her son, Douglas Kingston, in 1986.
Noel was the fourth child of the 13 children born to Henry (Harry) and Mary (Edna) Campbell, in New Westminster, BC, and raised in Chilliwack.
She married Danny on August 2, 1949, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chilliwack.
She is survived by her sisters: Grace Smith, Lily Murphy, Annabell (Fred) Schunter and Kay (Vern) Frizzell; and brothers: Bruce (Susan) Campbell, Gerald (Barb) Campbell, Stephen (Anne) Campbell, Thomas (Shirley) Campbell, and Phillip (Elaine) Campbell and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by Frances Costoff, Lawrence Campbell and Marie Burke.
Noel lived and worked in various locations across Canada; including Gage–town, New Brunswick,
Toronto and Camp Borden, ON, Whitehorse, YT, Surrey and Chilliwack, BC. She held positions in Chilliwack at the Ministry of Highways, Court Registry, Government Agency and Ministry of Health.
She enjoyed baking, (apple pies, cakes, cookies, and blackberry jelly, which were some of her specialties), reading, playing bingo and trips to Reno.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, the 29th of September, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Chilliwack BC. Private interment will follow at a later date.
