It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of RONALD MCLEOD at Eden Care Centre in Chilliwack, on Dec 9, 2024. Ron was born in Victoria but lived most of his life in the Fraser Valley. He met and married Elsie and they had 3 children together. Ted (Deborah) Sandra and Rick (Karen) plus many grandchildren. At an early age, Ron discovered he loved working with wood. He was 15 when he was hired on a construction site as an apprentice and went on to get his Carpentry Ticket.
In the '80's Ron met Eileen and married. He also worked at Canadian Forces Station Aldergrove. He had many interesting jobs from the first Port Mann Bridge to Matsqui Institution. Also, now retired, included trips with his big truck and fifth wheel and Alaska Cruises.
Eileen passed away in 2010 and Ron found himself alone again.
He met Marilyn in 2012, and they soon married. They were both retired and every year was filled with camping trips and cruises Then Ron was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in early 2021. He entered a Care Home in early 2022...!!!
