Ron passed away peacefully after a short stay in "palliative" care at Abbotsford Hospital on July 2nd. Ron is survived by his wife of 65 years, Evelyn Dash, 3 sons Evan (Yvonne), Eric (Nancy), Arlen, granddaughter Sydney, step grandsons Ryan, Jackson and great grandson Paxton. Predeceased by grandson Connor, and step grandson Micheal.
Ron was born in Victoria, BC and attended U.B.C. before joining Highways & Transportation for a lifetime career building highway and road infrastructure throughout the province. Ron and Evelyn made many friends throughout the years as they relocated with each new project/job that arose.
Ron enjoyed family time and all outdoor activities from snow sports, golfing, fishing, camping and travelling. Aside from his love for trains and baseball caps, his greatest love was his wife and family.
Ron will be greatly missed by all and nevertheless remembered for his goofy faces, witty remarks and constant jokes.
