Ronald George Watkins passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at his home in Chilliwack at the age of 79 years. He was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
Ron will be sadly missed by his daughter Penny, sons Barry, Danny (Karen) and Michael (Carol), fifteen grandchildren, thirteen of which are from BC and two from Calgary, and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother David (Marie) Watkins and sister Kathleen Bouchard.
He was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline, and his daughter Lyn.
A Memorial Tea will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7th 2009 from Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon.
Ron was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 43 years and is a current member of Branch 280.
