Ron passed away peacefully on April 26, 2024, at the age of 93.
Beloved husband to Vilda for 65 years. A loving father and father-in-law to Lori, Mark (Linda), Leanne, Sandra (Aeron) and Lisa. Devoted grandfather to seven grandchildren and great grandfather to ten great grandchildren.
Born on March 21, 1931, and raised in Chilliwack, Ron quit school at the age of sixteen to work on the family farm. He was baptized into the Community of Christ Church in 1947. In 1958 Ron married the love of his life, Vilda Marie Case.
He worked in the logging industry from 1953 to 1996 as a grader operator and timber faller. During Ron's 53 years of service within the Church he lovingly ministered as peacemaker, teacher, priest, and elder.
Ron is predeceased by his father, Wilfred (Bill) Earl, his mother, Francis Pearl, and his daughter Ronda Leanne.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Scott Bakker and the supportive care staff from Chilliwack Hospital's Emergency and ICU departments.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Community of Christ Church, 9845 Carleton St. N. Chilliwack on Saturday June 1 at 2 pm.
