Rod Kindred passed away peacefully on the 15th of March 2011, at Chilliwack General Hospital with his family by his side. Rod fought a short battle with lung cancer.
He was born in Chilliwack and grew up in the Ryder Lake area. He spent his working life driving logging trucks up and down mountainsides of the Fraser Valley.
Rod is survived by his wife Judy of 43 years, his sons Robert, Scott, Daryl (Corrie), grandchildren Alliyah and Joshua and many extended family members. Rod was predeceased by his parents Dale and Laurette and his sister Pat.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, family, and friends for their support and kindness during Rod’s illness. Donations may be made in Rod’s memory to any local animal shelter or charity of your choice.
In celebration of Rod’s life, the family would like you to join them at the Chilliwack Lions Community Hall, 47130 Hope River Road, Saturday, April 2nd 2011 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
