Rocky, as known by family & friends, passed away peaceful at the age of 77 after a long battle with Kidney failure. Born in Rouyn-Noranda, QC in the early 40s, Rocky grew up dreaming of a life serving his country and he decided to join the RCAF in 1961. He served for 30 years and retired in Chilliwack. Rocky loved Chilliwack and went on to work in corrections for 10 years, ran for the Cultus Lake Board, owned a successful travel agency, and finally retired on his homestead in Chilliwack. Rocky had a passion for his family, his garden, traveling, and camping. He is survived by his wife Linda, 2 sons (D'Arcy & Stacey), his brother and wife (Serge & Lise), and his bother in-law Andre. He is pre-deceased by his sister Lise, and his youngest son Lindsey. He will truly be missed by all.
A celebration of life will be held on November 16, 2019 between 1-5 pm at his home. 10720 Tower Road on Fairfield Island. In lieu of flowers a donation to the kidney or heart foundation is preferred. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at the Abbotsford Hospital on Baker 2 & the dialysis unit.
