Roberta Dale Gosse (nee Monteith) passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer in the early hours of Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack.
She is lovingly remembered by her family; Walter her husband of 41 years, daughter Kathy and husband Tim, along with their sons Brady and Mark, and youngest daughter Debbie. She is also remembered by her sister Merna and husband Ray, sister Evelyn and husband Tom and brother Irvin and wife Maureen and many nieces and nephews.
Dale was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario on May 19, 1938 and moved to the West Coast in 1966. She then moved with her family to Abbotsford in 1975 and resided there until 2005 when she moved to Chilliwack.
Dale was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 52 years and served as Worthy Matron twice in Electa Chapter, Abbotsford. She was also a member of Chilliwack Chapter.
Dale was involved with Job’s Daughters and also with Girl Guides of Canada for over 40 years in BC and Ontario.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held at the Chilliwack Masonic Temple on Sunday, October 17th at 2 pm at 45905 Hocking, Chilliwack.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chilliwack Hospice Society or the Canadian Cancer Society is appreciated.
The family would also like to thank the nurses and volunteers at the Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack for all their support.
