Robert Laird Lawson

Robert (BOB) Laird Lawson passed away peacefully on July 16, 2017 in Chilliwack General Hospital. Bob was born on January 6, 1933 in Saint Boniface, Manitoba. In his teens he relocated to Vancouver, BC, eventually moving to and settling for life in Chilliwack. Bob was employed as a salesman for Weston/Cullinar Foods. Working his entire life steadfastly to provide for his family. He is remembered with much love and gratitude by his three children; Kirk, Kim (Monty) and Darlene, his three grandchildren; Nicole (Sean), Richard and Daniel, his four great-grandchildren; Bronwyn, Lacey, Misha and Wynton, as well as his nieces, nephews and dear friends. His gift of gab and storytelling were the best by far. Spending time with Bob guaranteed a much brighter day for everyone. Always. As a young boy he worked as a ranch hand at many dude ranches in the interior and could also be found at the racetracks tending to the horses there. As a young man he took up and fell in love with curling. A pastime he enjoyed for many years making great memories. He enjoyed road trips, camping, fishing and golf and was many a ladies favourite dance partner. Dad will be greatly missed by everyone he loved, by his extremely thankful children most of all. We would like to thank our family and friends for their love and support. Especially those who were able to come and sit with us bedside as we honoured him during his final days. We are forever grateful. Bob Lawson, completely honest, totally dependable, endlessly loving and never unkind. Made perfect… “OUR FATHER” He is now in Heaven

A Celebration of Life will be held at 46566 Brice Road, Chilliwack BC, on Saturday, September 16th, 2017 at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, as per Dad’s request donations in his name can
