Robert James Turner passed away May 25, 2010 at the Cascades Hospice in Chilliwack, BC. Bob is survived by his dear friend Betty Meagher; family Barb and Ed Pardely, Joan and Ken Townend, nieces Laura and Margo, nephews Kendall and Richard, three grand-nieces and a grand-nephew.
Bob was born March 27, 1933 in Vegreville, Alberta, where he completed his formal education.
Bob started his career with the Bank of Montreal in Alberta, was transferred to Montreal in 1962, and retired in 1989 after 38 years with the bank.
He moved to Chilliwack, BC, in 1992, where he enjoyed fellowship with friends in Probus, Toast Masters and several other social and travel groups. Bob was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church.
There will be a memorial service at St. John’s Anglican Church on Friday, June 4 at 11:00 am, followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Calgary.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chilliwack Hospice Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
