In loving memory ~
It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Robert James Mailer of Terrace BC, announce of his passing, peacefully at home on March 3, 2025 at the age of 83.
Bob was born in Didsbury, Alberta on June 6, 1941 to Doris and Stanley Mailer. Growing up in and around Westcott, Alberta, Bob was proud of his family heritage in that area.
Bob started his career in the Alberta oil patch, working on the drilling rigs and then onto a successful career in road construction throughout British Columbia. Bob eventually started his own business, supervising many construction jobs and new projects all over BC. Later in life Bob would proudly point out how he built that hospital, or airport or school. He was proud of his accomplishments, especially in and around Terrace, where he tried to retire 7 times before he finally succeeded. Bob was a well-known and highly respected man, highly sought after for his skills and expertise, but most importantly, he was a beloved family man.
Bob is survived by the love of his life, Corene, his children; Bob (Jeannie), Ila (Scott), Chantelle (Darryl) and stepchildren Theresa (Duane) and Donna (Craig). Bob was proud of his grandkids; Matthew, Carissa, Dalton, Kore, Brittany, Jason, Garrett and great grandkids Riley and Deklan; and great, great grandson Jackson.
Bob was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He was a good man.
