Robert James CLIFFORD

February 19, 2003

Sept. 7, 1935-Feb. 19, 2003

R.J. (Jim) Clifford, when he found he couldn’t negotiate an extension went to his next adventure.

He leaves behind his loving son Bob and wife Vickie; his soulmate Kamphan Nampanya (Pom) (we will be together again); much loved stepdaughter Thasanee; his favourite Aunt Hazel; and many cousins, acquaintances and friends.

Jim grew up in London and Stoney Creek, Ont. before attending Queens University attaining a BA and Graduate Certificate in Industrial Relations (1958). In 1973 he received an MBA from Simon Fraser University.

He progressed through general major employers including Ford Motor Company, Polymer Corporation, Placer Development, and Alcan Ltd. In 1976 he formed his own manager and consulting firm, with Employers Council of B.C. his first major client. He was pleased to consult to many large and small corporations. His motto was to continue to improve the breed to achieve better results. He was most proud of those he worked with who went on to sterling careers.

He loved baseball, football, fishing, golf, and travelling. He always felt he learned so much from other cultures he visited.
