‘Bob’
Bob passed away June 5, 2011 at Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 70.
He was born December 13, 1940 in London, Ontario. Bob was the eldest child of Yolah and Howard Hocking and spent his childhood in London. He was an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces and also worked for London Life before graduating from the University of Western Ontario and becoming a teacher. He taught for many years in the Chilliwack school district. After retiring he took pride in his job as a marriage commissioner.
Bob was married to Judy in 1977 and took pleasure in building a family home and raising his two children. He also enjoyed curling in winters and lawn bowling in the summers.
He is survived by his daughter, Sarah; son, Michael; and sister, Florence (Art). He will also be fondly remembered by his three nephews, David, Gary and Stephen with whom he spent much time during their childhoods.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 11 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Anglican Church.
