Robert
Robert Bone was taken from us on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 76 years.
He was born in Waterhouses, England, August 27, 1933. He emigrated to Canada. Bob was a professional mining engineer and worked from 1980 until his retirement as an Inspector of Mines for the BC Government.
Bob and Valerie, his wife of 45 years, were parents to two daughters; Clare (Perry) and Karen (Cordell) and grandparents of four grandchildren, Emma, Aiden, Cameron and Brydon. They moved to Rosedale in 2002 and built a home there, enjoying gardening; making many friends and enjoying many happy times there.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his family, his brother, John (Jenny) Bone; sister, Jean (George) Brigstock; nephew, Stephen; niece, Christine and cousin, Jennie Bone and the many friends made over his life.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at 3:00 pm from St. John’s Anglican Church, 46098 Higginson Road, Sardis, BC; Father Dale Yardy officiating.
