Rita Braim late of Chilliwack, passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2004 at the age of 70 years. She was born September 4, 1933 in Yarrow and had lived in this area for her entire life.
A Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 from the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles Lenz officiating. A reception will follow in Henderson’s Funeral Home tea room.
A homemaker and family woman by trade, Rita also had many other interests and hobbies including; gardening, cooking, telling jokes, meeting with friends at the mall for coffee as well as camping, trips to the south (California and Reno), and going for walks on the farm. She had a great love of pets, and was always caring for stray cats. She will also be remembered for her wonderful sense sense of humour.
Rita will be sadly missed by her loving husband Roy, and two children, Sonny (Sue), and Betty (Hans) Kellner as well as her three grandchildren; Chet, Cherie, and Robyn; and great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Ashley and Cody. She is also survived by her sister Kay (Stew) Edwards.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Aganeta Kehler, sisters Jean, Helen, Ann, Mary, Betty and brothers Frank, John, and Ben.
Flowers are welcome, however if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer foundation.
