Richard Gerald Thody (MWO) retired, passed away peacefully at 12:20am on March 20, 2013 at Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 81 years. His family was with him. Dick served with the RCD’s and Ld Sh (RC). Following his retirement from the military he worked for the Bank of Montreal as an ATM Field Service Officer. Dick loved to golf and camp. His family was very important to him - his grandchildren adored him. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 38 years, Lois, and his children Dan (April), Norm (Angela), Terry (Nova) and Kevin (Mavelina) and his grandchildren Valerie (Brian), Vanessa (Ross), Jesse, Shawn, Jordan, Chlöe, Blake, Nikka and Matthew. Richard was predeceased by his first wife Valerie. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Richard’s name to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
