Richard Sylvanus Weldon Rudd late of Sardis, passed away July 25, 2002 at the age of 92 years. He was born December 11, 1909 in Hamiota, Man.
Richard was an avid golfer and played Cultus Park and the Chilliwack Golf and Country Club. He enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially hockey and baseball and loved watching the baseball spring training. Richard and his loving wife spent many winters in Arizona.
A private family service will be held. Cremation, Valley Crematorium, Chilliwack. Interment will take place in the Grandall Cemetery, Manitoba, next to his father and mother.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Isabella; three sons, Richard, Alan, and Graham (Somjit); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; siblings, Alvin, Evelyn, Les, and Cecil; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
Should family and friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C., or the Canadian Cancer Society.
