Rene (Ken) Aresenault was born Nov. 21, 1931 in Cochrane, Ontario. On October 30, 2010 Ken passed away peacefully with a heart full of love. He was Claudette’s husband of 53 years. Dad to Reena (Marcel), Roch (Katherine) and Julie (Lance). Beau Papa to Leah and Annie, Grandpapa to Luke and Adam and Poppa to Ella, Sadie and Brooke. The youngest of 10 children he is leaving behind his last remaining sister Anita, many nieces and nephews and countless friends. Dad was a true “bon vivant”. Always ready for a party, he travelled with his guitar from the battlefields in Korea to the cottages of Northern Ontario. Dad had so many loved ones waiting for him in heaven and now he’s playing for them on his Gibson made of gold. Loved with a love beyond telling, missed with a grief beyond all tears. Prayers will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 8909 Mary St. at 7:00 PM on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 with Funeral Mass to follow on Friday Nov. 5 at 11:00 AM with luncheon to follow in the church hall.
