Renate Battaglio "Renee"

January 20, 1944 - September 11, 2019
Our precious Renee passed peacefully Wednesday, September 11, 2019. Faced with a devastating diagnosis in January 2018, she fought relentlessly to seize and relish every single day. The divine union of Renee and her Johnny in May of 2007 sparked a rediscovery and collusion of their incredible strengths and infinite desire for joy and love for all. Together, they saw each moment as a gift to be grateful for, and that joie de vive was shared with everyone around them.
We will be forever grateful to everyone at Chilliwack Hospice, the Home Health Care nurses, the BC Cancer Clinic, and countless others.
The Celebration of Renee will be held at the Chilliwack Curling Club banquet rooms on October 5, 2019 from 1 to 5 pm. Light refreshments will be provided, as well as open opportunity for anyone that wishes to share how Renee touched their lives.
In lieu of flowers, please donate generously to Chilliwack Hospice.
Daughters Sabine Mendez and Tania Vermeer: grandchildren Dario and Tania Mendez, and Haley and Jayda Vermeer. Sons Aaron and Jason Battaglio: grandchildren Pheonix, Soul and Hawkslee.
