Nov. 13, 1919 - July 27, 2011

It is with great love and sadness that the family announces the passing of Reinhard Earl Radke on July 27, 2011.

Reinhard was born November 13, 1919 in Lamont, Alberta.

Reinhard served in the armed forces during WWII and went over seas during this time. It was in the armed forces that he got his cook’s papers. After being in the armed forces he returned to Bruderheim, Alberta to farm.

In 1968, Reinhard moved the family from Alberta to Chilliwack, BC. Here he worked for the Chilliwack army base as a cook in the mens’ mess. Reinhard also worked for Charles Wood catering and the Chilliwack school board.

Reinhard is predeceased by his first wife, Florence Radke and four children, Carol Harack, Keith Radke, Wayne Radke and Joyce Carpenter.

Reinhard is survived by his second wife, Barbara Radke; his children, Brian Radke (Bonnie), Shirley Warren (Dale), Harvey Radke (Vivian), Darvin Radke (Toni), Debbie Moore (Phil); 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; 3 stepchildren and their families.

A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 10am at Henderson’s Funeral Home.
