Passed away early on the morning of Sunday, December 17, 2006, at the Chilliwack General Hospital. Reed was the 2nd of the seven children of Art and Ruby Peterson. Born March 20, 1950, Calgary, Alberta. Reed lived in Chilliwack for 51 of his 56 years. A drywaller by trade for 35 years, Reed loved Chilliwack and it’s people.
He is survived by his bride Debbie Smith, his son Shane (& Donna) Peterson, daughter Heather Peterson (& Randy Lamb) and their mother Maxine Peterson; grandchildren Tori, Paige, Liam, Corey and Connal, all of Chilliwack; stepsons Cooper (& Debbie) Smith and grandson Austin of Calgary, and Tyler Smith of Mississauga. Reed is also survived by his brother, Dale Peterson of Prince George, sister Donna (& Bruce) Gustafson of Hixon, and brother Keith Peterson (& Cindy Munro) of Vernon. Reed will be sadly missed by his numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, aunts and friends.
Memorial Service to be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at the Chilliwack Arts Centre Theatre, 45899 Henderson Avenue, Chilliwack, B.C. Major Angus Haggarty officiating. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all friends, old and new, for their commitment to Reed and the fulfillment of his dreams.
Memorial donations may be made in Reed’s name to the Salvation Army Chilliwack.
