Raymond Johnson passed away on February 12, 2009 at Chilliwack Hospital at age 77 years. Ray is survived by his wife Jean, sister Doreen, daughter Tracy (Alvin) numerous stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Frieda; his sister Vinnie; his first wife, Gladys, second wife, Lillian and brother Bennie.

Ray worked at Safeway for 36 years as a butcher, working his way up to a meat merchandiser for Western Canada. After retirement he excelled in wood carving. Ray also enjoyed exploring North America in his R.V. He was known as “Daddy Ray” and loved being surrounded by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 1:30 pm from Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave. Chilliwack. Reception to follow.

If family and friends so desire, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
