Mr. Raymond Glenn Nelmes of Sardis passed away peacefully in the Chilliwack General Hospital on December 10, 2005 at the age of 76 years. He was born in Chilliwack, B.C. on July 11, 1929 and lived in this area for his entire life.
Ray was a dedicated Dairyland employee for 45 years and was a Sardis volunteer fireman for 30 years. His interests included reading, gardening, politics and sports. Ray was a loving, caring husband and father and will be forever loved and missed by those he has left behind.
Ray is survived by his wife Waneta of 51 years, two sons Greg and Rod (Crista), daughter Kim (Gord Cryderman), 5 grandchildren; Michael, Jason, Tanis, Paige and Daniel. He is also survived by his sister Ruth Hurlburt. Ray was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Violet Nelmes and a daughter Shelley.
A graveside memorial will
be held at the Chilliwack Cemeteries on Saturday, December 17, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Michael Hare officiating.
