August 9, 1954 - March 25, 2023
It is with great sadness that we must announce the sudden passing of our dear Randy, who passed away at his home in Arizona at the age of 68.
Randy was born and raised in Chilliwack and graduated from Chilliwack Senior Secondary School. When he wasn't re-building motors on cars with his Dad and racing cars for fun at Mission Raceway, he spent the majority of time training for a career in Competitive Figure Skating. He and his sister Debbie, competed at the National level in Ice Dance where they were fortunate to have travelled extensively across Canada and the United States.
Randy married and had 2 beautiful children while living and working in Hope.
He was quite involved in the Chilliwack Rod & Gun club and years later re-located to Colorado to attend Gunsmithing School. It was there that he met and married his present wife Shellie. They moved from Colorado to California and eventually settled in Arizona.
Randy is predeceased by both his parents; mother, Marie (1982) and father Roderick (2020). He is survived by his wife, Shellie; step-mother, Joyce; sister, Debbie (Jim) Kinsman; brother, Ryan; sister, Courtney; children and grandchildren; daughter Stephanie (Burke) Kersey (Elin, Beckett, Jager); sons, Cody (Chelsea) (Hendrix, Marley); Todd (Andrea) Mcnutt (Caleb, Alianna, Mason); Trae Mcnutt; Tyler Mcnutt (Chase); Tobyn Mcnutt ( Kyli); Tanyr Mcnutt.
Randy had a deep love for animals and took many abandoned and lost dogs into his home and heart. Knowing Randy as we do, in lieu of flowers, he would want nothing more than for anyone to consider adopting a rescue animal or contributing to a Shelter or Organization.
