April 21, 1937 - September 14, 2020
David Hall of Chilliwack, BC, passed away at home shortly after lunch on Monday, September 14th in his 84th year with his son Jay and his wife Ruth at his side. He went peacefully after battling colon cancer and a heart condition.
Dave was born in Vulcan, Alberta in 1937. After leaving Alberta as a young child the family moved to Penticton, BC, where Dave enjoyed many outdoor activities.
In 1949, the family moved to Chilliwack where Dave attended Chilliwack Senior Secondary School. He was a very social and gregarious person and chose sales as his career. For many years he worked for Dominion Life Assurance Company and for the last forty years worked as realtor completing his career at Homelife Glenayre Realty in Chilliwack, retiring at age 80. He valued his many local clients.
In 1960, Dave married Ruth and they celebrated 60 years of marriage on August 20th of this year. He was a kind, generous and loving husband to Ruth, an awesome and proud father to Jay and the greatest "Grampa" to Carrson, his pride and joy. Dave enjoyed many memorable trips to Hawaii and California and spending time with his family. Traveling along the Oregon Coast last summer and spending a week at Depoe Bay watching the whales brought so much pleasure to Dave.
Dave will be sadly missed by his loving wife Ruth, his devoted son Jay and his kind grandson Carrson. He will also be missed by his brothers Dean and his wife Marge from Qualicum, his brother Wayne and his wife Bonnie from Grand Forks and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dave was predeceased by his parents, Ernie and Elsie Hall, his sister Donna Holbech, his brother-in-law, Ernie Holbech and nieces, Mardean Hall and Christine Fraser.
