March 3, 2019
It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Phyllis Mammel on March 3, 2019. Phyllis was born in Saskatchewan in 1931.

She is survived by brother Bob Taylor (Irene), son Russell, daughter-in-law Lynda, grandchildren Blaire, Rebecca, and Drew, and great-grandchildren Havana and Vienna, as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends. Phyllis was predeceased by her parents Joeseph and Grace, stepmother Leonora, inlaws Alfred and Emilie, husband Alfred, son Gregory, sisters Hope, Jacquie and Josie, and brother Jack.

Phyllis worked as a nursing assistant at Chilliwack General Hospital prior to marrying Al. After Al passed, she worked at the Birchwood Retirement Facility until her retirement. She then helped to establish the Chilliwack General Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Store, where she volunteered for 17 years.

She will be fondly remembered for her kind, gentle manner, good sense of humour, helping others and being an enthusiastic curling fan.

A tea will be held in Phyllis's memory on Saturday March 23, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the clubhouse at 7455 Huron St., Chilliwack. In lieu of flowers please feel free to donate to a charity of your choice.
