Green, Phyllis
Phyllis Green passed away on April 26, 2015 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer with her family at her side. Phyllis was born June 11, 1947 in Vancouver, BC to Philip and Muriel Lacey. Phyllis married Lorne Green on August 13, 1966. She was a proud mother of five children and at the age of 38 went back to University and obtained her degree in Bachelor of Social Work. She had a career with the Ministry of Social Services in Child Protection.
Phyllis always looked forward to big family gatherings on Marble Hill, tending to her garden and reading a good book. She always put family first, interested in her growing grandchildren and great grandchildren and learning about their next adventures. She will be remembered as a person who learnt from her mistakes. Phyllis believed that her Christian Faith was the solid ground she walked on. Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory her husband Lorne Green; her children Robert Green, James (Kristy), Doreena Jackson, David (Amy) and Shelly; her grandchildren Walker, Tyler, Kenna, Daniel (Jade) and daughter Primrose, Dhillon, Tolila, Cohen, Evelyn, Felicia, Taylor, Brenden, Austin and Natasha. Memorial service for Phyllis will be held at Central Community Church, 46100 Chilliwack Central Road, Saturday, May 16th, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, 306-922-4729
