Peter was born July 18, 1930 in Wyngaarden, The Netherlands. He immigrated to Canada in May, 1952 and worked as a logger for a short time but was a dairy farmer his whole life. He married his devoted and loving wife of 58 years, Hendrika on April 11, 1958 and together they farmed and raised five children. He was a strong man, proud of his heritage, family and his farm. Peter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was actively involved in his community by serving in his church, as a cadet leader, on the Fraser Valley milk board and in other positions of community leadership. He believed in helping others and making a positive difference. Singing in the Vancouver Welsh Men's Choir was a joy that he discovered later in life. He is survived by his wife Hendrika, daughter Corry (predeceased by son-in-law Keith), their children Chris (Kara) and Kason, Kimberley (Sean) Keaton Cali and Sean Jr., and Brandon. Daughter Diane (John), their children Danielle (Steve) and Nash, Vanessa (James), Luke (Meaghan), Mariah (Chris). Son Peter (Janet), their children Andrew (Jessica) and Hinley, Matthew (Tanya), and David (Brenna). Daughter Darlene (Jim), their children Brianna, Nic, Taryn, Jim and James and Kier. Daughter Michelle (TJ), Matthias, Zachary, Ty and Brooklyn. Peter passed away peacefully to be with His Lord, while surrounded by his family's love on Monday, May 30, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, June 6th at Cornerstone Christian Church 9800 McNaught Road, Chilliwack.
