Peter was also an avid music lover and was never afraid to sing a Cat Stevens number out of tune. He was revered for his compassionate spirit, good humour, and soft heart, and he valued precious moments and sentimentality. Peter was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Bernice Short, along with his brother and teammate Wayne and father-in-law Douglas Shano. Due to current global circumstances and necessary restrictions, a Catholic funeral service has not been planned for this time, but will be organized for a later date.
